| Comprehensive evaluations and compassionate care Led by an experienced, integrative team, the Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress offers a wide range of services, including: Medical/forensic services •24/7 availability of care for sexual assault through the Harborview ED as well as 24/7 access to medical forensic consultation on sexual assault and child abuse. •Scheduled non-acute child sexual abuse exams and ED follow up appointments in our clinic. •Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program where patients can receive expert medical forensic and psychosocial care at the UW Medicine location of choice. Therapy services •Psychosocial treatments are available for children, families and adults affected by child maltreatment, sexual assault, crime and other traumas. Treatments can be brief, educational and supportive interventions or may involve a course of evidence-based therapy. Treatment is tailored to the needs of the patient and family.
